This book is meant for a true beginner. Most of the lessons involve stenciling. It is a good book but for the experienced trompe painter it is a dissappointment. So if you are just starting out its great! The difference between something being "simple" or something for the beginner is misleading in the title. The pictures, projects, and instructions ARE simple and I would recommend it to the person who says ... OK.... where should I start!
