This is a very good book and you should read it! I hope you like it as much as I did!
An inspiring tale of hope, love, and family.
I enjoyed the characters in this book.
Heartwarming and enjoyable!
One of Campbell's best. The characters are very real and appealing.
Life is good for Maxine McCoy. The is the executive producer of a popular talk show, happily married, and pregnant with her first child. Although she faces challenges - her husband's infidelity, and her program's sliding ratings - she looks down on Los Angeles from her hilltop home, and is happy that she has managed to rise above the limited circumstances of her childhood in a poor Philadelphia community. Her security is shattered what a call from the caretaker of her 76 year old grandmother, who raised her, summons her back to the neighborhood she would rather forget.
This was a wonderful book!
NY Times bestseller
This got great reviews but it seemed to drag to me. Maybe it's just my mood. Lost the dust jacket, we are packing to move and it got packed by accident. Brand new book though
