Book 3 in the OtherKin series is all about the 3rd brother, Mal. We get to dive further into the mystery and suspense of the death of Lokan and all the players that are intertwined with it. This mystery just get more and more twisted, and the big finale of it all is just amazing!
Mal, our main male lead in this book, is a player. Ever since losing his love hundreds of years ago, when he was still a young man and unaware of his parentage, Mal has jumped from one bed to the next, never settling down with one woman because he doesn't want to lose anyone again. When he meets Calliope all that shatters. Calliope is a super-tough, smart, and independent woman who takes no prisoners and does things her own way. When she holds her own against Mal he really begins to change his mind about the whole player deal.
I think Mal has become my new favorite brother. He's hilarious and cocky and just great to read about and connect with. This book really ended with a bang, and fun cliffhanger that didn't make me want to throw the book, but did leave me anxious for the next installment. I really enjoy this series!

This book was a great continuation to the series - which revolves around one central story line, a mystery involving the death of a brother. Each book of the series tells how each brother meets his mate, as well as how the brothers are trying to solve who killed their brother and how to bring him back from the dead. I liked this particular brother the best so far, but I love the relationship that the brothers have to one another. The author does a very good job bringing us even further into the world she's created in the first two books, and more of the characters and story to the mystery are revealed. They all build up to the final book of the series which I can't wait to read.

I have only read book two but I'm really enjoying this series. I loved all the different gods and goddesses involved. Wonder if it was too much of a coincidence though that all the brothers are into Daughters of Asset (their sworn enemy)? Hopefully with Lokan's story, Silver would branch out.
I loved the interaction between Mal and Calliope. It was great that she can hold her own and beats him up a few times. Mal was also funny and lighthearted. It's nice because I think this series would use a little more humor. It has some when the brothers get together but I would just like more of it.
I was sad when I find out who killed Lokan but it was expected and it made sense.
Even though the story is mainly about Mal, I liked that you get snippets of the other brothers' lives and to know that their relationships were still progressing.
This was a quick read and enjoyable. I look forward to reading about Lokan and going back to read Dagan's (the first brother) story.
