A disappointment, compared to Randol's previous books. I didn't care that much for the Russian setting; everyone seemed to be constantly in danger of frostbite. I never really developed a liking for the hero and heroine, and their goal of stopping an assassination seemed ambiguous at best. There were a couple of secondary characters I enjoyed(Blin, Ian and Kate) but all in all, a confused plot, too much spying and violence and not enough romance. I barely struggled through to the end of the book.
