Captain Daniel Durham hasn't met all of his eight orphaned sisters, he has been at school and then serving Wellington during the long war with Napoleon. Now back in England, he is determined that his sisters have a season in London and a chance to find husbands. He begins his campaign as any good officer would, only he seems to forget that he is not dealing with young privates in the army, but young women who have been isolated in the country all their lives and are excited to make the most of their time in the great metropolis. He especially has trouble with one sister, Winifred, who just doesn't look like any of her sisters, nor is so willing to follow Daniel's commands. This is a light frothy romance and funny.
