Wonderful book! Made me want to visit Mama Venezia again and see it in a whole new light. Very moving as her books usually are.

This is a cute story of two friends ( and Sister-in-Laws ) that take a trip to Venice, Italy together.
Along the way they learn more about each other and themselves. They realize that all they need to do sometimes is "just to show up", and God will be there for them.

This is the first "Sisterchicks" book that I have read, and I plan on reading more of them. =)

There is just something about a getaway that appeals to me in the middle of a winter season in the Northwest. But aside from that this was a very good read without jamming down my throat. Not only do you get a taste of Italy, you see two friends really get their relationship cemented together in many ways. It is definitely worth the read.

Another one of Gunn's enjoyable travel books, this was set in, of course, Venice. Two sisters-in-law take on an assignment to cook on a religious retreat for a group of missionaries. I love learning a new location through Gunn's characters, and Venice is no exception. Jenna and Sue show me a gracious Venice, along with a sense of reverence and fun.
