Emily Trefussis makes a fantastic protagonist, and even though I remembered most of the salient points I was still stumped as to the how when I reread this. The clues are buried very deep. With the addition of just the right touch of wry humor and unique characters, this is a very strong Christie mystery.

Ha! Having read hundreds of mysteries in my life, I had the main murderer figured out after reading only one-third of the book. I also had two other separate sub-plots figured out too! I also figured how everything was done.

So when Miss Christie did all the reveals at the end of the book, my reaction was, "Huh? How did I miss that?" Oh, well, maybe I'll be luckier with the next mystery I read.
