Deaver's intricately-plotted thrillers always provide a good read, but this one is flawed by a really banal subplot (no spoilers!) and by an overlong teaser leading into what will doubtless be the next adventure.
Deaver can be counted on for baroque and twisty plots with more kinks than a package of Top Ramen, and this one is no different. Just when you think everything is nailed down, something else pops up. I did manage to figure out one important reveal fairly early on, so either I'm getting better at anticipating, or Deaver is slowing down!

Excellent series.. Always has a wonderful complicated plot.
Excellent. Pure Deaver.
Once again I am not disappointed in the Lincoln Rhyme. The twist and turns, unlike other books, I never end up figuring out. The tattoo premise is so interesting, and brought some fun characters I hope will be developed. This time I did read it looking for hints and I was suspicious of some things but they took so long to develop I forgot about them until they came to light again. I love this series and might go back and re-read at some point.
