Disappointed with this one!
Anna is driving the car with passengers when there is an accident caused by another vehicle, 2 were killed and 1 is paralyzed -- so you have a father that wants revenge for his sons death, revenge for being paralyzed, etc.
Anna breaks up with her boyfriend and moves to Scotland to work for pennies in a hotel that is far away from everything, so here is where it starts going downhill--there are 7 guests and one of them out 'to get' Anna, the owner dies of a heart attack and that leaves Anna in charge and from that point it just gets messy, I found it to be hard to follow as it seems to jump from this person to the next person and of course they all 'have a problem',
so for the last 1/4 of the book you would think it would be suspenseful or 'the twist' would shock you or even have a little thrill come into play but nope
it has way way too many unlikely events that just aren't likely to happen anywhere--EVER! there is a storm raging for 6 days and of course they are cut off from the mainland without phone or wifi and a river they can't cross, that pretty much sums it up and it doesn't take a high IQ to figure this one out
