Joyce Carol Oates is the master of the reality of fear. The way she captures the power of young girls is unreal. "Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been" is hands down one of the best short stories ever written, and the other 11 stories in here are little slices of Oates' brilliance. We all long for the power of the bad girls.
