The bad news about this book is that the plot is very thin; the good news is that the writing is witty and sexy. Journalist wannabe,Reese Hampton gets an important FBI document by mistake, putting her in the middle of a juicy story, but against FBI agent, Derek. What follows is steamy scenes and very funny dialogue.

Like bad porn, this book had little or no plot and too much sex. I finished it because I can't stand unfinished business but if I had to do it all again I would not have waisted a credit on it. Oh...and I did not rate it 3 1/2 stars but it won't let me change it.

Very thin plot. The hero/heroine fell into bed everytime they looked at each other.

Cute plot but a little to much sex to suit my taste

There was a plot here? If there was, it was briefly mentioned between the gratuitous sex scenes.

not much of a story, more of a series of steamy sex scenes tied together with a very thin plot. did not like it.

Cute book about a sassy reporter trying to get a story that an FBI agent is trying to keep tight-lipped. Lots of sex!

Great book. Loved the chemistry between Derek and Reese. Hot love scenes!!!

I rarely stop reading a book once I've begun but this book fell into that category. You're immediately asked to believe that an FBI agent whose been reprimanded twice would allow a woman to continuously run over him as he tries to recoup an envelope left in a wrong car. Then, because they're both SO incredibly good looking, they have no choice but to immediately fall into bed together and he's going to work with her, a newspaper reporter, again, because they're both so beautiful. Too much. First Erin McCarthy book I've been disappointed with but it's a doozy.

Very funny. One of her best

This book was great. The characters & they way they interact are absolutely hysterical. It has romance, comedy and mystery all in one. Looking for more of her books.
I was surprised and disappointed with this book. I really like Erin McCarthy, but I could not get into this story. The heroine is anything but. Reese Hampton is unsympathetic and stupid. Unsympathetic as in, "I don't care if I compromise a Federal investigation and Special Agent Derek Knight's career. I will get my newspaper story and save my own career." And stupid, "I really don't care if I put my own life in danger. I take for granted that the Agent whose career I am about to tank will rescue me."
The above are NOT direct quotes from the book. They simply exemplify Reese's attitude. Her moments of doubt about her actions are so few and far between as to be unbelievable, especially when coupled with her decisions to continue her interference.
Derek Knight, the FBI agent, seems to only think with his boy parts.
I could find no redeeming value in this novel.

This is a fun, sexy read. Love Erin McCarthy books!
It's another goodie by Erin McCarthy. A cute FBI guy with a bumb leg falls for a female reporter that has a smart mouth. Some parts are just tooooo funny. Lots of romance, too. I really enjoyed it...since you never know what's gonna happen next.
Well worth the read!
Well worth the read!
Waited several months to get this from my library. It wasn't worth the wait.
her funniest book yet!
Fun, sexy story
I had no idea a book could be so steamy and still so laugh-out loud funny.
This book certainly had a LOT of action - unfortunately it was wasted all on the sex scenes and not the plot. This book only went fast because I was desperate for the raunchy sex scenes to end and for the plot to finally reveal itself. I was very disappointed. Very unrealistic, even for a romance novel - don't waste your time or your credits.
Another fun book from Erin McCarthy! She has a way of showing the human side of her characters and keeping things fun. The sex scenes are wonderfully hot and get sweeter as the relationship develops. A great read! 4 stars.
Very entertaining, quick read.
A rather graphically sexy book, not the most ingenious story-telling. Entertaining somewhat.
Other than disliking the heroine's occupation in this one(nosy reporter looking to make her big break by risking an FBI investigation which of course is where the man comes in!) this one scores high on the sexy humor and HOT scenes! and a HEA who could ask for more? This woman though does know what she wants out of the guy and goes after it which made for a very hot read! overall a good read and I enjoyed it!
Erin McCarthy's books are always so much fun!
Really fun read. Typical Erin McCarthy, headstrong, fun female main character, handsome, understanding if exasperated male counterpart. Moves along quickly. It sort of ended abruptly but then I remembered it's McCarthy, not Sandra Brown. haha

I really enjoyed this book. It also introduces you to White and Maddock who appear in "Bad Boys in Black ties.
A fast, funny, easy read
It was a very cute and funny story.
couldnt put it down!
Here's one sexy story about an FBI agent who's met his match.
Nice read! McCarthy is a wonderful author.
