All the classic Evanovich elements - a dog, a spunky Aunt, a lovable hero, a Cadillac, etc.
Another good book by Janet.
Hilarious! Pure Evanovich, and it's interesting to note that there are several references to characters and items that she has put into her Stephanie Plum books. Perfect enjoyment! (Despite the laughable cover!)
An early Evanovich work, first published in 1990. After reading her Stephanie Plum novels and her works co-authored with others, one can see her skill-building in dialogue between charachers and inner dialogue as well. The cast of characters is enjyable. In this story, Lizabeth is a recently-divorced single Mom, with a whacky elderly but feisty aunt who has come to help with the kids for the summer, and a big unruly and loveable dog. Lizabeth does not have many skills, but lands a job with a construction company owned by Matt. Matt is a wonderful physical specimen, and Lizabeth is quickly hooked on him. All in all a good, quick read.
