Snowbound was really disappointing. It's basically a story about a girl who was teased as a teenager for being overweight and nerdy. She's now a successful, fit, adult and is hosting an auction during her high school reunion to show off her success to her former tormentors. The guy is a former Olympic skier, whose career was cut short due to an accident. He's now a ski patrolman and an EMT at the ski resort where the reunion is taking place.

Sean was absolutely great. Even though he made some mistakes where Robyn was concerned, he was a genuinely nice guy who seemed to learn from his past mistakes. Robyn was annoying as hell. Her insecurities were so numerous, it really bogged down the story. The book became boring, predictable, and sappy. Their love for each other didn't ring true and their happily ever after seemed forced.

Not a bad book, the Demonica series by this author is much better. Mainly its about Robyn and Sean getting over their own insecurities. I thought there would be a lot of sex in it b/c of the publisher and warning on the back, but there was not that much...had to read to around page 150 before it got to that part.

I just finished Snowbound and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I'm normally not the biggest fan of contemporary stories, but this one was done really well. I honestly couldn't put this book down.

I loved the character of Sean. He was real and honest. I like that he wasn't afraid to let his feelings be known. He was definitely a charmer and I loved getting to know him.

As for Robyn, she may seem strong and dependent to others, but with her we see someone who is battling with self-confidence issues that stem from her teens. She just wants to be accepted by others and I love how Sean helps her realize that she is a truly beautiful inside and out.

I really enjoyed these two together. The sparks between them were evident from the beginning and when they finally came together it was electric. I definitely enjoyed seeing these two get their HEA.

I really liked this book. It was one of her early works and shows her clear thinking on relationships. Sean is a guy who thought he had it all before reality stepped in and took it away. Robyn is competing in the world of radio and TV and is being badly used by her boss, her ex boyfriend. He continually lets her down even though she helped elevate him to his current position. The first time Sean and Robyn meet there is a very real instant attraction even though neither is looking for anything but a fling. Both are strong sensitive people making for an enjoyable journey. Sweet and sensual.

I feel as though Melissa's review above should contain a spoiler alert before the second paragraph.
