I LOVE this book.
The 3rd in the acclaimed Tillerman cycle which are all excellent reads, this one just grabbed at my heart.
I came to love Jeff, the central character as he grew from a lonely, hurt and abandoned child into a strong, caring young man who learns that life and love can be difficult and that family doesn't necessarily mean only blood relatives.

If you liked "Homecoming" by Cynthia Voight, you will enjoy this. It's another Tillerman family book and one of my favorite YA books.
