Definitely for the mommies out there, this book is a sentimental journey through a child's life. Not as corny or creepy as "Love You Forever," this mother wishes things for her daughter as she grows, leaves the house, and gets older under her mother's watchful eye. I checked it out of the library for my 2 1/2 -year-old daughter and while she enjoyed being read to, I definitely got more out of reading it than she did hearing it. I ended up crying like a baby throughout as I thought of my own daughter growing up and leaving and becoming the woman I hope she will be.
I ended up buying copies for all the baby showers of the friends I knew were having girls. A really sweet gift at any stage of a girl's (or mom's!) life.

This book, while marketed as a children's book, seems more suited for adults who have children. It is nicely written, with a cute, sentimental story line that I enjoyed, but it did not hold my children's interest.
This was a wonderful book from a mother to her daughter.
