Great book!!! This book should be read along with and before Falling for Gracie. the heroine, Jill, is Gracie's best friend and you see a bit of Gracie in this story. Jill moves home after catching her husband doing the "do" with his assistant and getting Jill fired from her job. Once home she runs into Mac, the boy she had a crush on when she was a kid. Gracie moves in with her aunt Bev - reads tarot cards and is a psychic. Mac has an 8 yr old daughter, Emily, who has come to stay for the summer. Bev sits for Emily and the book focuses on that foursome - Mac, Jill, Emily and Bev.
There are a ton of funny secondary characters and a whole lot of romance. I love Susan Mallery books and this one definitely does NOT disappoint!

If you're looking for a fun, contemporary story without too much angst, drama or misunderstanding, then this is the book for you. The characters are normal to slightly quirky people with typical problems (divorce, single parenting, family squabbles, work issues). They're adults who act like adults. You won't find any super alpha males, stupid heroines, or sadistic villains and frankly that's very refreshing. The plot is pretty simple and not that dramatic. The romance is cute and slightly steamy, but could have been more.
I'm an attorney and I found it interesting that the heroine, a corporate lawyer in in a big city, went to a very small town, but the financial implications of such a move aren't discussed in the story. It was a huge paycut for the heroine to go from the type of corporate work she was doing to the type of small town work she ended up doing. The book would have been more believable had the author discussed that particular issue in greater detail.

I enjoyed reading this book. It was a very interesting story. Normally I don't like romances. The characters were well done. I like how it is a contemperary romance that isn't heavy on the romance.
