Historical erotic romance by Jess Michaels. Follow-up to Everthing Forbidden. Penelope is a disillusioned widow, who resents that the men of the "ton" treat thier wives poorly, and carry on affairs with other women, at thier whim. She's become known for her views, and an icon. But, some of Society's men want to silence her. The task to stop Penelope falls into Jeremy's lap. He believes if he seduces Penelope, he can expose her as a fraud, or blackmail her into stopping her crusade. But Jeremy can't silence his thoughts that his actions are wrong, or the feelings that he comes to feel for his prey. I found this one a little unbelievable. Penelope is pretty gullible, and I found little about Jeremy to sympathize with. Jeremy slips up, and the plan is exposed. It's a romance, so she forgives him, and then comes the HEA. I wish Penelope would have tormented the man a little. The writing is good. The storyline predictable, the sex scenes are hot. Overall the book is better than others that I've read. I'll read the next in series, "Taboo," when I can get my hands on it.

I really enjoyed the other two in this series but thought this one was a bit flat in the development of Penelope. I liked the storyline, the bringing back of previous characters and how they were developing but this one just seemed to lack that spark that the other two had. It could very well just be me so don't not read as it does go with the others in the series.
