The residents of Broward Rock are putting on a play to save their local theater. Someone is playing silly planks and no one knows why. Than one of the players is shot during a rehersal and Max is singled out as the murderer. Annie knows it is not Max and sets out to prove that someone else did the deed. Very good story

Loved this story, the characters are building all the time. Looking forward to the ones to follow, especially the marriage of Annie and Max Darling.
Another interesting book from Carolyn Hart's series, "Death on Demand", and very good. I was delighted to pick up this book (one I had not read). It is published 1988 and although worn, it is in good condition and must have traveled many miles in 23 years. The story is good and kept me guessing "who did it" until the very end. Annie and Max are fun characters to go through a murder mystery with. Enjoy.....
