Over way too soon, could not put this book down.
In-depth and complex. Different layers of the story working with and against each other making it fast paced and wanting to keep up.
Excellent read.

Jo Nesbo is a true artist. The way he paints characters and scenes, you just visualize them in your head while reading. It's refreshing to see this author at work away from his Harry Hole series, he's allowed a lot of freedoms to develop new characters and a plot line without the restrictions of staying within the boundaries. Very enjoyable read, I would highly recommend, along with "Blood on Snow" & "Midnight Sun". Now, back to the Harry Hole series!

Having read all of Nesbo's Harry Hole series and enjoyed them all. I realize that translating into the English language must be challenging but this particular translation by Charlotte Barslund is absolutely the worst. I also wonder who did the proofreading before publication. Not only is the grammar wrong but the descriptions such as: "methusalahs of Dom Perignon" made me laugh.

The story itself definitely holds one's interest but Nesbo's work deserves better...

My review is based on the problems mentioned above.
