Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Easy reading history. It informs on thongs other than the slave trade, such as the poverty experienced by the families fighting in the war and the role of Quakers in providing food for them. It explains Rhode Islands role in the period building up to the revolution as well as the important role piracy played in the revolution by disturbing English shipping.
