Wasn't going to write a review until I saw the other reviewers remark.
Darby McCormick is an ongoing character for Mooney, it's like reading Alex Cross, Jack Swytek, Jack Reacher and many others that are a series. Darby is what you'd call 'a badass' cop (nothing wrong with that) and she gets caught up in tough situations (again nothing wrong with that), I agree sometimes an author can get over the top with details but yet it does keep you reading until the end. Much better than always reading about some 'doctor' that gets involved and solves a murder--to me that is farfetched.
