This is pretty dark and violent, if you are a fan of murder mysteries, paranormal and can handle some heavy situations (dealing with rape here folks) then this might be the book for you. I loved it. Was great though I was kind of confused a few times but I rolled with it (I never know if it is me or the narrative).
Magic users in our normal world, a dark mage is on the loose and killing girls who look like our heroine.
A twisty storyline with some backstory to follow, an Austen, TX backdrop and meddling family members. Tense yet fun.

The first book in a new series... I hope the rest are written better than this one. Many times it was difficult to follow the storyline, And I didn't appreciate the violence in the ray-ban had to skip many pages. Many parts of the story were interesting some did not make sense, But I did like the magic and some of the concepts which were unique.
