I posted this on the Community Thoughts board and someone there suggested I might find my co-author here.
In March, I saw my neurologist, and somewhere in there he said, Jade, did you hear me a few minutes ago? I said you have epilepsy. I said, oh yeah, I heard that but that's not what I internalized. What I actually heard is Oh, I have another bug to stomp. He said bug? I said yeah. MS, Epilepsy, all of it. It's just a bug to be stomped on. He said Jade, I haven't suggested this because I don't think it's my place, but would you please WRITE A BOOK! Tell the rest of this network (MS) how you keep the joy of living so far forward that every doctor who treats you comments on it to other doctors who treat you.
It's going to be a free book. I plan to call it Bug Stomping. I have no capacity to do a cover so a volunteer would be madly appreciated. But here's where it gets odd. I need an opposite. I can introduce readers to the warrior in me who stomps on bugs like chronic disability, but that's not enough. I want another voice in the book. I want a recovering alcoholic or drug addict, male, to co-author this book and show another part of the population that it doesn't matter how big it is, a warrior can turn it into a bug and stomp on it.
If you're interested, PM me.
