Exquisite historical fiction. If you're a music lover, this is a must-read! The characters are fully formed and you'll be living right beside them.

Compelling and engaging, this historical novel gives a personal face to the Spanish Revolution and the rise of fascism. Only a cellist could have written with such grace about a cello player. A wonderful read -- highly recommended.

If you love Spanish history like I do, you should find this book very enjoyable. However, if Spanish history and fairly technical music jargon aren't your thing, this book may be tough to get through.

I ordered this book for my husband, who has been a fencer.
He said it was a very technical, but well written book and he
really enjoyed reading it.
He thought the author did a wonderful job of sharing the history
of Spain.
Very enjoyable reading for him.
