An easy 24 hour read. A good SKS (serial killer story) line. The substance of the book however, is a little weak. 290 thinly worded pages. Dialogue that sometimes seemed so clipped that it might might have been Joe Friday speaking right out of the Dragnet series. It almost seemed like a digest version of an actual book when compared with James Patterson and Patricia Cornwell. Oh well, if it's an SKS, I'll read it anyway.

I really like all of the Sunny Randall series. The characters are interesting as is the plot. I wish Mr. Parker was around to write more of these!

a great book, a fun thriller

Fair. Leans a little bit toward the "cozy" mystery - a female amateur investigator pursues a serial killer. Aside from the charisma of the main character (Sunny Randall), there isn't much substance, intrigue, cleverness, or believability to the plot.

Didn't get past page 100, the dialogue was just terrible and so stupid and by page 100 the story had moved nowhere, those first 100 pages is mostly about her and her ex-husband blah blah blah or their dog blah blah blah, so I just put it down and now I'll move on to something worth reading.

Another engaging read in the Sunny Randall series. So sad that I only have one left to read. Recommended for all Parker fans. Looking forward to rereading the Spencer series from the beginning.

A very enjoyable read. Very quick, like most of Robert B Parkers books. It would be nice if Sunny could get over some of her emotional baggage, but I guess that's what keeps me coming back for more.
