It is always a delight to spend time with Flavia, her family, and her community. I fully agree with the Boston Globe reviewer who described Flavia as a cross between Eloise and Sherlock Holmes. What amazes me about the writing is that although it is told from Flavia's point of view, you are still able to "get" the undercurrents between adults that don't make sense to her as a 12 year old. The only frustration with this book is the enormity of the cliffhanger and the wait we'll have to endure until the next book comes out.
