Fun to read a romance with an older couple that's relevant - at least by Hollywood standards - realistic - possibly not but good escapism for a Danielle Steel book. Reminds me of the Jack Nicholson/Diane Keaton romance a little.

This was one of the smaller novels that Danielle Steel was able to actually pull off. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan, it's just that about half of her smaller books aren't worth the reading time. This one though I really enjoyed. I liked the overall story and the characters.
Good short read
I don't normally read Danielle Steel, but this book was pretty good. Would recommend it to any fan of hers or someone just wanting to enjoy a good book.

Sweet, quick read. Love can happen at any time...
Following her recent novels Silent Honor (1996) and The Ranch , Steel has written a shorter novel, similar in format to Five Days in Paris (1995). Amanda Robbins is a former actress who gave up her work when she married and had two children, settling into her role as wife and mother. Jack Watson is the father-in-law of Amanda's daughter, owns a trendy shop in Hollywood, and is an inveterate womanizer. Happily married, Amanda has no liking for Jack, until he provides emotional support following the sudden death of her husband. (See where this is going yet?) His support gradually changes her opinion, and as the two develop a deeper relationship, they are faced with family opposition and a surprising choice. Steel provides entertaining--but extremely light--reading. The characters are rather two-dimensional; the profound decisions reached by the two main characters come too easily to draw the reader into their lives; and the novel reads as though Steel rushed it to market. But it will be in demand by Steel fans, so purchase accordingly.

Fantastic!
This was a GREAT story - especially good for those of us who are no longer teenagers. It is heartwarming and sweet and shows there is an exciting life after 30 (smile). Fast paced and hard to put down.
Quick, cute, likable main characters, a sweet story about moving forward after the death of a partner.
i found this to be extremely predictable and i didn't care for the daughters whatsoever. however, i couldn't put the book down, which is what steel usually does to me
One of the great books by Danielle Steel. I haven't read one of her books yet that took me more than l day to read. I have to know the end before I can go to sleep.
