A very well-written and fast-paced story of how Jonas Salk invented the polio vaccine. The book tells a great narrative story, developing the characters and moving the plot forward to keep you interested and guessing throughout, even though you know the ultimate ending. Unlike other biographies, this is NOT just a listing of dates and places - it's a great story. Highly recommend for anyone interested in medicine, healthcare, or public relations - the management of the PR around the vaccine development is also very interesting. The story is also quite relevent given H1N1 today.
