I believe this is one of Kristin's best works yet. I hope she'll keep writing as she just keeps getting better and better. Trust me, you'll want to read the rest of her books once you pick one of hers up.
But this book, wow, keep a box of tissues nearby. You'll be laughing and crying right along with Sarah. And everyone can relate to something in this book, be it family troubles, boyfriend troubles, career troubles, gushing over a star, and wondering about life in general.
Read this book for any reason, because you don't need one to read it. And just remember to keep the tissues nearby.

I am not a religious/Christian person, so I don't have a lot of insight into what it would be like to be a 20-something Christian woman, but in the 3 or 4 of these "Christian Chick Lit" books I have read these women are always portrayed as weak, immature and insecure with no sense of themselves. I wonder if I were a Christian woman- would I be offended by this portrayal?
I understand that Sarah's upbringing and dealings with her mother contributed to the way she saw the world, but at times I just found her infuriating and the ending to be silly and unrealistic.
That being said- I didn't hate this book, but I didn't love it either. It was a fast, easy read with a few interesting characters and a few funny moments.

Got this book on a whim. I'm a stylist so I was intrigued with the idea of a Read in my "neck of the woods" of work. Not a usual topic. Also was braced for the fact that it would be LAME. It also had Christian background... so I gave it a second look since it had a little religious influence. I was braced for a flop but was cracked up with the Authors style of "flippancy" with what life was throwing at the Main Character... and being real with it! Great Great Read! I'm getting a second book to see if I can "officially" make her a new Favorite Author of mine! I'm SO crossing my fingers. ;o)

Compared to the "What A Girl Wants" series which was quite funny and amusing to read, this book was a little disappointing. The characters seem shallow and disjointed, and one never gets a realistic mental image of who they are and why. The amusement factor which Billerbeck nails in some of her writing is sadly missing in this one. I have no desire to read further books in this series if indeed there are more.
Just okay. I have mixed feelings as some parts were good and some parts were so slow that I ended up skimming. Not the greatest, just okay.
Another good story by Kristin Billerbeck. It had me wishing there was sequel. I love how the author makes you feel like you know the characters in the book. Great Read!
Since I loved her other series books; Ashley Stockingdale & The Spa Girls, I expected this series to grab me & pull me in quick.
It didn't.
This one layed flat with me. I really wanted to like it more. I cannot pinpoint an exact reason why. Maybe it was that I didn't feel a connection with the main character.

What I really didn't get was that she left the stifling, small town life she led in Wyoming and left her mother behind to fend for herself. Even though she 'thinks' she's going to be bringing her mother out to live with her when she get's settled & set up in LA, she thinks her mother is going to miraculously agree to all of this. So, she's stopped being an enabler to her mother and who shows up in LA? None other than her mother who has left the state illegally & is on the run from police in LA. So, then Sarah turns around and absolutely HAS to bail her mother out?!
So much more I could complain about...the snide remarks from her 'wonderful and loving' cousin, her best friend and her meltdown (almost needed to be left out of this book) & the caustic & abusive behavior of her boss. Not to mention Dane & all the stuff between them.
Anyways, I hope someone else gets more out of this book that I did.
