I didn't really like the protagonist during the first chapter. I thought she was sort of annoying. But then as we got to know her and her captor, I started reading through the book very quickly, liking the characters, wanting to know how it would end. I thought the ending was well thought-out and showed depth in the characters. Enjoyable, quick read.

Fast read - suspenseful - confusing at times but kept you intrigued. Definitely recommend it to those who like thrilling character studies.

This book left me a bit confused over how I felt about it. On one hand, I was intrigued from the beginning as it pulled me in right away. I wanted to know what would happen in the end, but on the other hand, I kept getting lost with the constant back stories of what had happened in the past. Normally a book like that wouldn't bother me, but it just kept confusing me and I am not sure if it was because I didn't like the book much or if other distractions were keeping me from enjoying it. I would read other books by this author, but this one left me a little confused in the end.
