I don't care whether or not the political opinions of the authors of the books I read agree with mine or not, *as long as* they don't get in the way of the characters ... because the characters are why I continue to read the books. So, I don't need to like the author, but I *do* need to like the characters. Woods put more of himself into the characters of this particular book than usual and for the first time (and I've read ALL of the Stone Barrington books), I *almost* didn't finish the book. I hope he's not going to make a habit of this ... because if that's the case, I'm going to miss Stone :-(
