Clever concept! I already had book two, so I had to have this one! Clever names and the photo layouts were, well, clever! Foods were set out and arranged as platforms for figures, so you had the visuals from Star Wars, only made out of brownies, et al. Don't look for me to put this back up on paperbackswap - I'm keeping it!

This book is geared toward young Star Wars fans as shown by the simplicity of the recipes and the two pages of basic kitchen safety guidelines. Most of the recipes have a cute picture of the food with an action figure. The recipes are mostly simple things like cookies, burgers, and shakes that are renamed with a Star Wars theme. A parent could probably get their children involved in cooking or to eat things they wouldn't normally because of the cool name.

This book is goofy IMO but sweet! I haven't tried the recipes but really enjoy the photographs, set up with tiny SW action figures fighting around the food and such. There are tiny Tie Fighters made of breadsticks with what looks like Vienna sausages in the center in the Main Course section (these are actually more like hors d'oeuvres). Other recipes include Yoda Soda (a lime drink) and Hoth Chocolate. There's nothing new in the way of food here...just one more way to celebrate Star Wars.
