I'd put this down as an average read. The writing had a stilted quality to it and the story was predictable, but if you want space opera, this certainly qualifies. Stargazer jumps at a dizzying pace from one location in the galaxy to another, from swamp planets with prehistoric lizards, to mining planets where everyone lives underground. I kept feeling like it was vaguely familiar and I realized that a lot of things remind me of Star Wars and of Dune. We have a princess needing help from the Senate, a prisoner in a cryo-chamber, and a male with powers only women had before among other things.
Despite sometmies feeling deja vu, there were some moments that stood out. My favorite part would be the when Lilly and Shaun finally arrive at the Senate. Here there seemed to be some time spent on describing some of the culture of their enemies. The reader sees how the Circe women treat their men as slaves, shuttling them around with neck braces that inhibit their will, and the gladiator games that went on there showed the dark underside of the galaxy. I felt like this was the most absorbing part of the book for me, but unfortunately most of the book didn't seem to have the same focus on world building as this section did. I wanted things to slow down and have more context.

Sometimes the only thing that can defeat evil is another evil. Or at least on heck of a bad boy. Circumstances throw the two characters together. This book takes place in the future, somewhere in space. They are being chased all over by the bad guys and falling in love. There is a secret that could destroy both of them.
Its a little like the Riddick series. Only he is actually a lot softer than him. But still sexy as can be. Definetly a must read.

Interesting setting, but the story was predictable and a little flat.

Star wars meets the dune with plot, heroes and worlds description cut out of star wars, and mind control from dune. Though good it is somewhat lacking, predictable and feels unfinished.
Firt book I've read by her. It was pretty good.
Futuristic romance. Lilly is trying to stop a war and escaped murderer Shaun helps her. Some interesting mental abilities and hidden identities figure in to the plot.
Very good read. Would like to see a series come from this author.
it was okay
When Lilly's transport ship was attacked, she revived a prisoner form his cyro tube. Since he could somehow penetrate her mind, she feels she has no choice to trust him to help her save her beloved garden planet.
I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and opened up an entire galaxy of adventure. I cannot wait for the next book!
Great futuristic romance
DO NOT REVIVE WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. Those words were stamped on the cyro tube holding the prisoner. Gazing in fascination at the bulging muscles of his arms, Lilly wondered if the heavy cables binding his wrists and ankles would be enough to hold him when he awoke from his enforced sleep. When their ship was attacked, she had to make the decision to trust him with her life.
HATS OFF TO COLBY HODGE. THIS INTERPLANETARY STORY IS A GOOD ONE. IT TELLS ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF THE MYTHICAL WITCHES OF CIRCE AND HOW THEY CAME INTO BEING. ALSO OFF SPRING OF THESE LADIES. I LOVED THE STORY LINE, WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH THE MIND IS A REAL BLOWING EXPERIENCE. A UNCLE BETRAYING A NEICE, AND A LOVE WITH ANOTHER SPECIAL PERSON.

Those were the words on the cyro tube holding the prisoner. Gazing in fascination at the bulging muscles of his arms, Lilly wondered if the heavy cables binding his wrists and ankles would be enough to hold hiim when he awoke from his enforced sleep. Nor was she reassured by the crime committed by her fellow passenger: murder. Or his sentence: life, in the deepest hole the Legion could find.
Yet even sensing the rage and frustration within him, she tied heer fate to his when their ship was attacked. Chased by Ravigans across the universe, she had no choice but to put her trust in Phoenix. But how was he able to penetrate her mind, filling it with teasing suggestions and hotly sensual images, when that talent had always belonged exclusively to the generations of grey-eyed women in her line? Was the devil with the silver gaze the key to saving her beloved garden planet of Oasis or just a common criminal out to take for himself whatever he could get his hands on?
