Started off really slow, but midway it picked up and finished with a lot of action. A spy enters the picture and it's not all that difficult to figure out who it is. There are more lectures on leadership throughout the book. Others may find those boring, but leadership, and how to do it properly, always turned me on.

Stark has flashbacks to bad time in his early days and has to deal with a relative of someone he really worshipped.

Stark is smart enough that some of the dialoge/monologue where he says "oh, anybody could have done what I did" feel like false modesty or fishing for complements. Part of being good at something is knowing you are good at it, just not being arrogant about it.
