Another winning cozy by Tamar Myers! If you appreciate antiques, you are sure to enjoy her Den of Antiquity series, starring Abigal Timberlake Washburn as the very likeable shop owner and amateur sleuth. Abigail has had a falling out with her BFF, Wynnell Crawford, over the appropriateness of a statue of David that Wynnell used on one of Abigail's jobs and which also just might have been used as a murder weapon. Abigail must swallow her pride if there is any hope of getting Wynnell out of jail and finding the real killer. Suspects abound as Abigail finds herself the center of some very unwanted attention. A fast, fun read with a cast of believable and enjoyable characters. This wasn't my first Den of Antiquity experience, and it won't be my last!

Charleston, S.C., antique dealer Abigail Washburn is asked to decorate a new B&B for a member of the upper crust. No sooner has Abby finished than the woman who hired her is murdered -- and the police are sure Abby's friend Wynell did it. Naturally Abby has to investigate to help her friend -- with the usual hilarious results.

First book of this author I have read - it was pretty good and she surprised me with the perpetrator of the deed. Takes place in Charleston, South Carolina and it is obvious that the author is familiar with the area. Lots of funny dialog too.

I like this series. It is so way-out-there absurd. Larger than life characters and good plots.

Again, Tamer Myers brings fun and laughter with her Den of Antiquity series, starring a likeable heroine with lots of great background characters who remind you of someone you know!
Having stopped speaking to her best friend a month ago over an ugly replica of Michaelangelo's David, Abby Timberlake Washburn, now married and living in Charleston, has to rethink that when the owner of the statue is murdered and Wynnell calls her from prison! Abby suspects there's more to this slaying than initially meets the eye, including the not-so-bereaved widower. Afterall, Wynnell may be notorious for having bad taste, but she's certain no killer.

Abigail Timberlate Washburn, petite but feisty owner of Charleston's Den of Antiquity antiques shop, stopped speaking to best friend and decorating partner Wynnell Crawfor a month ago.......after questioning her choice of a cheap replicia of Michaelangelo's David. But now Wynnell has broken the silence with one phone call...............from prison. Because she has bad taste doesn't mean she is a killer.

A great read.
Wynnell is accused of murder, and it is up to Abby to find the real murderer.
A different series then the Pennsylvania Dutch mysterys, but just as good. Funny and a good mystery.
Frist one I've read of this series, enjoyed it.
