I absolutely loved this book. Allie Larkin is truly a wonderful writer. I am extremely passionate about animals/dogs and she not only warmed my heart with a story about the loyalty of an animal, but also shares a story about the loyalty of the main character's relationships with humans. I highly recommend this book - no one could possibly be disappointed.

This was a great book, I had a smile on my face most of the time while I was reading it, it made me that happy! The characters and situations are so REAL - not like many books where Prince Charming and Cinderella fall in love and all those fantasy things happen - No, this is about how things happen in real life with real people. Not to mention, it was downright hilarious at times! I couldn't put it down, and cannot wait for another book by this author. I really recommend this to anyone who is considering it; you will not be disappointed!!!

A quick, engrossing read. The drama and touches of humor never felt forced, and the genuine relationships between the characters will leave you recognizing your own family, friends, regrets, and redemptions. (I admit to being biased, having gone to school in the areas described in this tale, and I rejoiced at familiar road names and attitudes.) Might not be everyone's cup of tea - it helps if you have / have had your own four-legged furry friend(s) - but definitely struck a chord & I look forward to future work from this author.

I found this on the new book shelf at my library; Based on the flyleaf, I would have classified this as "chicklit" and just moved on but the picture of the dark German Shepherd on the front got me. I read it quickly and loved it!! I like strong female characters and this is certainly one to admire.

I liked this book. I was able to skip the middle part and pick up the storyline at the final third of the book and was satisfied with the outcome.

A very special debut novel for this author! This novel was wonderful for dog owners and non-dog owners alike. Super witty with a fun and realistic storyline. Definitely chick-lit..and definitely worth the read.

I loved this story! I felt like I new the characters personally, the story flowed well and the description of the dogs antics are spot on! I have a big black dog and was reminded of those puppy days.
I had heard lots of great reviews about this book, so I was realy looking forward to reading this.
Loved it!!!! Did not want to put it down. I am not a dog lover, so it's a great feel good, rainy day, weekend read

Love love love this book. Fun easy read that was real and entertaining. Characters are well developed and any dog lover will see themselves at some point in this novel. Once I picked it up, I could not put it down...Can not wait for Larkin's next novel!!!
It an enjoyable, quick read but I couldn't really relate to any of the characters...
Loved the book - easy read and very uplifting story.
I always look for books with animals in the storyline. Some are disappointing, and some are okay. STAY is an outstanding book, and one of my favorites read this year.
Just a wonderful story that warms your heart that starting over is always possible!
adorable 'chick lit' i'm a dog person, and this was very cute. a quick read, with a nice story.
A perfect beach book! Loved it from the first page to last.
I got this because I thought it was a dog story. The story was good.
I really enjoyed this book! I literally read it in one evening lol I just didn't want to put it down. I felt like Van (Savannah) was really relatable, like in the insecurities she had and finding herself second-guessing whether Alex actually liked her or was just being nice. I was happy with how everything was nicely wrapped up in the end, despite the big issues that popped up at the beginning. It was slightly predictable lol but not in a bad way. All in all, a very cute story!
Loved it!!! :-)
What a great book...A different author than I normally read but this was a fun read. Easy to follow and did not want to put it down...Good Chic Lit book...
Janie is Savannah's (Van's) best friend since childhood. Peter is the man she literally fell for her first day of college. Her biggest mistake was introducing them to each other. That is why as this book starts she is dressed up looking like a satin orange pumpkin as maid of honor at their wedding.
After the wedding hoopla she decides to drown her sorrows with a little Vodka and a Rin-Tin-Tin movie marathon. During the night she drunk orders a puppy off the internet. When the puppy arrives she finds out he is 200 pounds and has been trained with only Slovak commands.
Savannah Leone's life will never be he same.
I would call this a great summer read with one caveat, it takes place in the fall and winter. It is still a great "escape" novel.
I like this author's writing style, it is very mature for a debut novel. I love the characters, Joe was in a class all his own. Filled with humor and heartbreak and doggy kisses, I was almost sorry to see the story end.
It is a light fun read that animal lovers will enjoy and appreciate. It is amazing how quickly we become attached to our pets and the magically way they understand, love us unconditionally, and even save us from ourselves. All this for a little scratch behind the ears and doggy treats.
I hope to see more from this author soon!!! Check out her blog to find out more about this new author.
