This is a book about an an incredibly insensitive man married to an incredibly naive woman. Yes, they are highly educated and are/have led professional lives and perhaps? that explains this. I wouldn't want to date let alone marry soon-to-be ex-Governor Sanford of the fine State of SC. Although Jenny Sanford portrays herself as a very fine individual, I wonder if this was just because she was writing a book about her qualities. No one can be that "perfect" although I believe she could be faithful to her husband and expect the same of him. When I finished reading the book (part of it aloud to my husband who kept saying "What a jerk!"), I didn't want to touch it as I was so disgusted with Gov. Sanford. If what you want is all the dirty details and her putting up with him, this is the book for you.

Interesting story of Jenny Sanford and her betrayal by her husband, (then) Gov. Sanford and how she struggles to be the person she can live with during, throughout and after the ordeal.

This was avery good book and showed how cheating and lies affect all of us no matter who we are. I am glad that Jenny did not sweep things under the rug just because of her husband political career as Governor of South Carolina. She is a very strong woman and I commend her for her honesty. very good read

After she learns that her husband, has been carrying on an affair, she leaves and takes her children with her. She could have stayed but she had to be the provider both financially and mentally for her sons and doing what she felt was in the best interests for herself and the boys she , moving out was the right thing to do. I really enjoyed this story because it showed that a woman can stand on her own two feet and survive after being hurt so deeply.
