I really enjoyed this book although I had to skim over a lot of the science and technology. Like her Young Wizards series, this book tugs at something in your heart and leaves you wishing it wasn't over.

LA Prosecutor Lee Enfield and her fayhound partner Gelert take on a case that will require them to infiltrate the Elf-King's stronghold in Alfheim - a universe that is fobidden to mortals. But if they don't crack the case, interdimensional war could very well destroy all of creation. So, really, Lee's gotta do what she's gotta do.

The only bad thing about this book is there's not a sequel, and no matter how likeable main characters are- and she is-you know you'll never be able to find out more about her. I really enjoyed the book. Diane Duane is one of my very favorites. If you haven't read he, do yourself a foavor.
