Non-fiction. King's take on fear and why we like it. He discusses movies an books. Sort of complex and confusing, not organized very well.

King on horror...an enlightening read with entertaining insight. If you enjoy the horror genre you want to read this as King dissects facets of the background and history of the frightening style he excels at...
Will make you search out other sources he references..

If you want a history of the horror genre, it's probably ok, but don't get this if you're expecting a standard Stephen King book--it's not a work of fiction, so much as an explanation of horror books, movies, etc.

Another one of my favorite books by King.
This is a first edition book as well as the version sent out with the Stephen King Book Club. The cover jacket is a little worn but the book itself is in great condition.
Jacket:
Stephen King knows better than anyone else in theworld what scares you and why. Now, in his most unusual masterpiece, he takes you on his personal tour of the dark ballroom of horror. Take his arm. Let the dance begin.
Review: I bought this book when I was younger and on a Stephen King kick. I suppose I fell out of love with his works before I ever got around to this book, because I never read it. Glad to let someone get some use out of it.

The master. Period. Joalice
Interesting study of the horror genre from King. I enjoyed it, but now its very dated. It was written years ago.
