I've always enjoyed Fannie Flagg and this book is certainly no exception. Her character development and interaction between characters is always a delight to read. The good characters are always good and the bad characters are always bad. Although sometimes the good guys like to walk a little over the line between good and bad but they never stay there. She is a polite author and never chooses to describe situations or people in vulgar terms but still manages to convey to the reader the characters points of view. I enjoy very much and find her books delightful to read. After all who wants to read a book that is full of cuss words?

I Still Dream About You is about a woman....a little late in life....who finally becomes her own person and in the process learns to say good bye to her old habits and self loathing. It is a wonderful book about friendship and love and how believing in a person and telling them can make all the difference in someones life.

I encourage you to read this book and when you are done pick up a few more of her titles. You won't be disappointed.

Another Fannie Flagg winner. This book is an easy read, and the story keeps you wanting to know what's going to happen next. The story, about a woman who plans to end her life, is in Fannie Flagg style, quite uplifting actually! Nice character development, humor, food for thought and a nice, well-rounded story. This is a fun book!

Great news! I've read all Fannie Flagg's books! They were all "page turners". They contain drama, danger, wry humor, & witty Southern observations. There is whimsey, wonder, & lessons about people's motives & ethics. I truly cannot fathom you not enjoying any of her books! Have a great time & read any, & possibly, all of her novels.

Quick read but very disappointed. Love Fannie Flagg but this book was so disjointed - skipping all over the place. Didn't flow well for me.

Finally, a book I really enjoyed. Fannie Flagg did not disappoint. The story about an ex-Miss Alabama who is planning on ending her life. Her plans keep getting interrupted though. There is a minor mystery in the story too. Read this book.

As a former proponent of the fruits of this writer I have read every book Ms. Flagg has written, and am so disappointed with this one. It seems every other page she is apologizing about Birmingham, Alabama. I found it so terrible I couldn't finish it, seems she has sold out. I will never bother to waste my time with anything she writes again.

The book was an engaging look at Birmingham, AL and its illustrious and tumultuous past. It will make you laugh; it will make you cry. Classic Fannie Flagg.

I have read all of Fannie Flagg's books and have always enjoyed them as light-hearted, fun reads. So, I was expecting no less from this book. Although the characters are typical Flagg characters I found the book to be less light-hearted than her other books. Parts of it I found depressing. It is easy to not take suicidal thoughts seriously while reading this book. I found the story line to be "odd" at best. The second half of the book was more typical Fannie Flagg.
