The first in this series, "Me Before You" handled a difficult theme in a memorable, gentle and thoughtful way; while doing so, we met Louisa. The second in this series, "Still Me" seemed as though Moyes was milking her success and was a letdown, perhaps a story that should not be revisited. Then we meet with Louisa again in this 3rd in the series, and it is like returning to an old friend. The story line is not intense and difficult, like the first in the series, but it is enjoyable, not too much romance, just a nice escape and an easy read. It was also nice to "see" Nathan again.
The first book, Me Before You, is a 5 star one of my most favorite books ever. Emotional and sobbed my way through it. It dealt with a very difficult topic and made it human. Great characters and great story. I loved Will and loved Louisa Clark. The second book, After You, was just eh. Fell flat. So I couldn't wait to see how this book was and fortunately it was like a return to the first book. I only gave it 4 1/2 stars because it didn't have quite the emotional punch that Me Before You did. In Still Me Louisa has moved to NY to "say yes" and have adventures as encouraged by Will before he died. And she has those adventures. Work, the people she meets and helps. Her quirky and good character comes shining through and the impact she has on others. A little romance along the way. At the end she finds happiness - the job, the guy, etc. But more importantly she learns to stay true to her true self and not try to change to fit the needs of another. Very sweet story, funny, quirky, and feel good messages. I was happy to read about Louisa again and see it all work out so well for her in the end.
Still Me by Jojo Moyes follows the success of Me Before You and After You. This book proceeds in a more predictable fashion than the first two. They all work because the writing draws these characters and makes them come to life and makes them "real." I vest in their stories and laugh and cry along with them. The only question that remains mirrors my thought at the end of the previous book. Is another chapter in the life of Louisa Clark yet to come?

This story continues to be wonderful. I love the character of Louise Clark and how inspiring she is. I laughed and cried during this one, just like I did the first two books. I get the book from the library because I'm so anxious to read it but don't want to spend the money on a brand new HC. Then I love it so much, I end up putting it on my WL so I can have one on my keeper shelf. I hope there will be a 4th!
Louisa Clark is now living in New York and starting a new life but still wants to keep her relationship with Ambulance Sam at home in the UK. She meets Joshua Ryan and realizes that her heart now lives in two places.
I love JoJo Moyes' writing. I liked this one as much as book 1. Book 2 did not measure up to book 1 and 3 but these books are still a fun read. This book had unexpected twists that I did not see coming. I found the new friends of Louisa in New York very interesting. I would definitely read more from JoJo Moyes and I would highly recommend her books to those who like to read fiction with strong emotional feelings.
