Another great thriller from a Mary Higgins Clark! from the back:"She is Pat Traymore- young, beautiful, talented, and deeply in love with a handsome congressman. She comes home to the glamorous, high-powered world of Washington to produce a TV series and her subject, Senator Abigail Jennings is the first woman nominated to run for vice president of the U.S. But as Pat delves into Abigail's past she discovered horrifying facts that threaten to destroy the reputation of a woman on the verge of political triumph. And worse still, nightmare secrets about her own childhood- secrets that are still waiting to destroy her."
