WOW! Jack Daniels, Herb, Phin, McGlade, Luther, Donaldson, Lucy. Damn this was an edge of your seat thriller with serial killer Luther staging an elaborate plan for Jack. Jack is 8 1/2 months pregnant, retired, & happy with Phin. Luther Kite, serial killer extraordinaire that got away, is back & pulling Jack back into his game. Elaborate setups from a demented mind & senseless murders for showing off starts the chase. Jack & Co use every ounce of strength to fight back & catch Luther or be killed. Edge of your seat with loads of twists and turns. #8 in Jack Daniels series & #4 in Thomas/Kite series
What a huge disappointment! I've read all the other Jack Daniels books and thank goodness this will be the last one, I guess they saved the worst for last.
It is so completely stupid and ridiculous that it was just hard to keep reading and I didn't make it to the end.
You can't have a 8 month pregnant woman running around with life threatening problem with herself and her baby and still ignores every symptom that she needs to go to the hospital--oh that's right--she did go to the hospital ER but she got a call about a murder and ran out and jumped into a car with her partner and took off at breakneck speed---give me a break! She isn't a cop anymore but a PI.
This was so ridiculous that I just couldn't finish it and won't be passing it along to anyone else!

If you love the Jack Daniels series, then you have to love this one. It is the ending (at least I think!)It is far fetched, fiction at its best, but I loved these characters for 7 books before this and couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. There were parts of this very intense and monsterific thriller that were so funny I was literally laughing out loud. Very few writers can mix the two. Another great one.
