The hero in this book, to me, is to die for but she's an idiot. If you can look past that - its a good romance.

Another win from Anne Gracie. I love the heroine. She's adorable and yet spunky!

I disagree with the other reviewers, I loved Callie and Gabriel, both. Callie is arguing with herself over what she's decided her future to be and what future is actually giving to her. She's wants to follow Gabe in her heart, but she has convinced herself that listening to her heart will cause it to break. She's never had a chance to be her own woman, and discovering a new world can make it hard to make the right choice. But, fortune smiles upon her and brings her a guiding light and in the form of Gabe.
Like the other reviewer said, the hero is definately to die for.. the heroine.. not so much. She's difficult, rude and not very nice for many parts of this book and she goes back and forth.. one minute she seems to understand that Gabriel is trying to help, and the next minnute she's snapping at him. How he has patience I do not know.
However -
if you can hold off long enough to get past that part then the story really is nice. It's not a book I would keep for my personal library, but is a good read if you are looking for a way to pass time.

I thought BOTH the characters were lovable and quirky with each their own issues because of their own personal experience. It seems that some reviewers are willing to make allowances & forgive him his issues, but not her. I don't understand that at all. The story works well because they need each other. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I can say that about the entire series. Every next book kept getting better; building on the story and the characters of the previous book.
