#4 in the Zack Walker series. When Zack agrees to help his friend Trixie, he never realizes just how serious the situation is until he finds a dead man in her basement.
If you like a little humor in your mystery/thrillers, you'll enjoy these books. They're serious but funny too. They've quickly become a favorite of mine.

Oh, this was an exciting book! It was very well-plotted, though more serious in tone than the series' other installments. I really enjoyed it! It was a lot of fun to read, but in a bittersweet sort of way, since it seems Barclay has abandoned the series. I suppose there was closure, but it just didn't feel like a series finale to me. I sincerely hope that he someday returns to the thrillingly hilarious escapades of Zack Walker.

The book was just okay for me......really liked Book #1 Bad Move the best!
Zach Walker is at it again. He can get himself into some of the best messes possible. Now, he's trying to help former neighbor, Trixie, the Dominatrix, and manages to get himself suspended from work, gets his wife demoted and almost manages to get himself killed, yes again. Like the other Zack Walked books, there are 2 mysteries going on at the same time, always intertwined in some way, and just when you think the problem is solved, up pops the other problem. Zack needs to chill out and keep out of trouble, but if Barclay does write a 5th Zack Walker, I'm guessing Zack will manage to get himself in another mess right along with his readers.
Things are not what they seem as Zack Walker finds out when a friend needs his help but she disappears and he has a hard time finding her when she uses so many names. Time and time again Zack is getting into one mess after another and his wife is ready to leave him but yet she loves him. Engrossing story keeps you reading to the end.

I was a little let down by this one. I love the Zack Walker character, but the first one is, by far the best. While this one gives Trixie's background and still has quite a few twists and turns in the plot-it was a bit far fetched on occasion and I did not enjoy the characters as much in this one. Still worth the read, but my least favorite of Barclay's books.
Another great installment of the Zack Walker series. A real page turner and some good twists make this a must-read.
I enjoy the Zack Walker series and this one didn't let me down
