Laugh out loud funny! You don't have to live in the South to enjoy Celia Rivenbark's books. And good if you're the type of person who only gets to read books a little bit at a time. Each chapter is its own little Southern jewel. And no subject is sacred!

This book is absolutely hilarious when read aloud with a southern draw! Try it! My Mom recently had a stroke and one of the things they said to do was read to her.... She was laughing so hard! Delightful!

Delightful and sassy collection of columns from humorist Celia Rivernbark, ranging from her attempts to raise a daughter without putting her into thong panties and sequined belly shirts at the age of six, through soap opera addiction and telephone "help" lines that don't.

Very funny and so true! I didn't like it as much as the other two but it is still an enjoyable read and made me laugh.

The points the author made were real and funny. Unfortunately, it felt like the book tried too hard to be funny and get a laugh. As such for me, it was very difficult to get through and lost its fun.

This book started out decent had me laughing, then it just fizzled.

Rarely, if ever, have I laughed out loud while reading a book as much as I did when reading this. My husband got so annoyed when we were reading in bed, he told me to go read on the couch! Rivenbark does lose a little bit of momentum towards the end of the book, but this is one I'll be LOLing to for a long, long time.

I was laughing so hard while readi,g this at the beach I had people comming over to see what I was reading. It is a real world perspective on the ridiculousness that is 21st century parents and the nightmare that these "speshul snowflakes" bring to the rest of us. As a childless woman in her 30's I find myself agreeing with this saucy southern mama. And laughing my hiney off

Very humorous. This is my first time reading anything written by Rivenbark and I'm not adding her others to my to-read list. I enjoyed it very much.
