Tony Catell steals a gold ingot from a university science lab, unaware that it's radioactive. Now the cops and the FBI are on his trail, his underworld contacts don't want anything to do with him, and the loot he's lugging around is leaving a trail of radiation sickness and death. This may sound like a recent Hard Case, but it's from 1955, with all the language of that time. A good read for Hard Case fans.
