I loved this book. At first I wasn't sure I'd like it because I didn't like the main character, but something happens in his life that brings about a good change and from that point on, I couldn't put it down.

I did not like or enjoy this book. You have to be a literature scholar to appreciate the literary games the author was playing in the bookish introduction to each chapter. I am VERY well read but felt most of the allusions were beyond me, and I felt the author was trying to prove how smart she was.
