I throughly loved the first book in this series and have already marked my calendar for the next release! It was fast paced and a fun read. It has been a long time since I picked up a book that I enjoyed this much! There was a lot of humor and I love the world that Vivian Shaw has created. There are a lot of different creatures and I can't wait to see if there are more in the next two books. You can feel the dampness of a winter London and appreciate the care that Dr Greta has for her patients. All in all a book I did not put down until I finished.

What a fun read with some lovable characters! We meet quite a variety of supernatural creatures throughout-mummies, ghouls, demons, vampire as well as vampyre gentlemen. Greta is an endearing character with a heart. Thoroughly enjoyable.

What a fun little romp through the supernatural world of London. I really enjoyed this book. It did start out a little slow for me. The atmosphere made it feel like it was in the Victorian era but the mentions of cars and cell phones kept bringing me back to this time period. It was a little off putting and confusing. I think that could have been an issue for me only and maybe not others. Once I made it through that, I was able to settle down to quite a lovely story where Greta Van Helsing is doctor to the supernaturals that need her help. Then the help gets more advanced when they find there are killers out there wanting to rid the world of vampires, demons, etc.
Very entertaining story. The characters are what stand out though. After reading, I just wanted to be Greta's sidekick and hang out with all of her friends.
