I pre-order all of Harlan Coben's standalone thrillers, and lately they have been hit and miss. This one has an interesting premise: The Stranger somehow knows deep dark secrets, and reveals them to the secret keepers for money and to satisfy some strange principle about secrets are bad. Most of Coben's books are somewhat confusing at times but things are brought together neatly in the end. This was true with The Stranger, but there was not enough suspense to keep me fully engaged. The ending was a bit over the top too.
Normally I start reading a book by Coben and I can't put it down - this one I read over a few days.
